How Much Clearance Above the Bumper Is Needed for the Curt RV Bumper E-100

Question:

What clearance is needed for the top of this hitch. My travel trailer has the bumper partially under the travel trailer and only leaves about 1inch of clearance from trailer to top of the bumper.

The distance from the bottom of the square mounting hole to the top of the bracket on the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver part # E-100 is 1-1/8". I have attached a photo of this measurement for you. In order to make this work with your 1" of clearance you will just simply need to shave 1/8"-1/4" off the top of the plate until it fits.
