Does Prodigy P3 Brake Controller Stay On all of the Time

Question:

Just finished hook up of p3 using the connector kit for my vehicle. It seems like the unit stays on all the time even with engine off? Is there a on off button? Also connected the conversion kit to change my factory trailer cord as my trailer is two wire and Ridgeline is three wire. In instruction it says to replace a7.5 fuse, there is already a 7.5 fuse in that slot? It also say to replace another fuse it has a 20 and instruction say to replace it with a 10?

The P3 brake controller # 90195 is never really off; it just goes to sleep. When in this sleep mode it is drawing just a few milliamps of power. At that rate it would take months of the truck just sitting for the controller to drain the battery. But the reason you want it to stay "on" is because this allows the controller to remember your presets and settings. If you cut power to the controller is loses all memory as it resets. If you have the 7.5 amp fuse already installed then you are good as-is there. You would need to swap to the 10 amp fuse as required as well.
