Connecting New 4-Way with 4 Wires to Trailer that Has 5 Wires
Question:
I have a utility trailer that had a 4 pin flat connector that came off now I purchased a new one. Only problem I have is my trailer has 5 wires. A green,white,yellow,and a 2 tan wires that are paired with the green and yellow wires. My new plug only has 4 wires, a green,white,brown,and yellow. How should I wire the new plug to my old trailer wires. Please help me!

The two tan wires of your trailer wiring will get ran to the single brown wire of your new plug. This circuit is the running lights circuit and since it goes to both sides of the trailer there's two wires for it. You'd run the two wires into one side of a butt connector like part # DW05714 and the single wire from the new connector gets ran to the other side.
