If Brake Controller Worked with Hydrastar Actuator Would it Work Well with Titan Actuator

Question:

I own a 2011 Ford F-350 with the factory TBC. On my old 5th wheel trailer I installed Kodiak Disc Brakes with a HydraStar actuator. My factory TBC is designed to go from straight electric or electric over hydraulic modes. After the install I set the TBC for electric/hydraulic and everything worked fine. I have a new 5th wheel and am having Kodiak disc brakes installed but this time using a Titian/Brakerite actuator. I was told I may need to use the Ford/Chevy adapter. Is there that much difference between the HydraStar and Brakerite Actuators that with one I need the adapter and the other I don’t.

You are totally fine as-is. If your current brake controller has an electric over hydraulic mode and is working well with the Hydrastar it will also work great with the Kodiak you are planning to go to.
