I have what appears to be this light on my trailer. Before I snap something and have to replace it, can you tell me how to acess the bulb?

Yes, to replace the bulb in the Optronics Snap-In License Plate light, # LP11CB, you will need to pry the bulb holder away from the lens housing with a small screwdriver.
Rather than explaining it in detail, in writing, I produced a short video demonstrating how the bulb is accessed and removed for you, see link.
If your bulb is a different brand or model there is a possibility that the housing is sealed and the bulb is not replaceable and the whole unit would need to be replaced.
The correct replacement bulb for the # LP11CB light is the A-67 single filament bulb.
