Question:
Can you install a 2017 mopar backup camera on 2018 since the 2018 doesn’t have a factory one for Journey crossroad model?

We don't deal with Mopar parts, so I can't confirm that a transfer from a 2017 model to a 2018 model will be compatible for the backup camera on your 2018 Dodge Journey Crossroad.
I do however have some options for you to consider:
The Rear View Safety Backup Camera System - Mirror Monitor - License Plate Mounted Camera # RVS-778718N has you replace your rear view mirror but allows that to serve as you monitor so you don't have a noticeable additional monitor on your dash.
The Rear View Safety Backup Camera System - Mirror with Monitor - Flush Mount Backup Camera # RVS-772718 has a similar monitor but the camera is flush mount.
The Rear View Safety Wireless License Plate Backup Camera System - Built-in Backup Sensors # RVS-5350-W has some additional features like the audible backup sensors but also requires the separate monitor.
The Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System # HM50002 will have an easy wiring and give you some similar features. This is also a nice option but the camera quality isn't as nice as the Rear View Safety options.
I've attached videos of each option to assist.
