Inexpensive Way To Carry Two Kayaks on a 2019 Mazda CX-5

Hi, Im looking for a quick and dirty cheap for now way to carry two kayaks on a 2019 mazda cx5 Signature with factory roof rails. Will two sets of foam blocks work for two kayaks side by side on the factory roof rails? Other suggestions if not? Thank you for your wisdom.

I do have an option for you but the factory roof rack on your 2019 Mazda CX-5 is most likely not large enough to carry two kayaks side by side. If you can give me the width of your kayaks and the length of the factory crossbars on your CX-5, I could then confirm this for you. If by chance the length of the factory crossbars on your CX-5 exceeds the width of your two kayaks then you can use the Malone Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs part # MPG154 to secure them but you will need to order two sets. Also, foam blocks should only really be used for very short distances and they are not ideal for highway speed.

The best option I can offer you which is just slightly less cost effective than the foam blocks but loads more secure is going to be with the Thule Stacker part # TH830 or two sets of the Swagman Contour Rooftop Kayak Carrier System with Tie-Downs part # S65148. The Stacker will be a bit more difficult to use but it will also allow for up to four kayaks to be carried at once assuming you have crossbar space.
