Ladder Rack for 2019 Ram 1500 with 5-1/2-foot Bed

Hi have a question about product # TH43002XT-781EX it’s for a 6 1/2 bed but I recently bought a 2019 Ram 1500 classic but have a 5’7 bed it’s there a way to modify to fit will hate to spend another $400 on another base rail?

Thule's TracRac SR sliding ladder racks like # TH43002XT-781EX are not offered for your 2019 Ram 1500 with 5-1/2-foot bed so there is no way to adapt one made for a 6-1/2-foot bed truck. We do have TracRac fixed ladder racks for your Ram 1500 such as Thule's Xsporter # TH500XTB and others shown on the linked page. I can't recommend you cut the rails since this will both void your warranty and potentially affect the functionality of the rack.
For a moderately-priced quality aluminum rack with a substantial 800-lb capacity please consider the Erickson Ladder Rack # EM07705 which includes load stops. You can see more on this rack in the linked video. It will fit your Ram 1500 as long as it does not have a tonneau cover or Rambox feature.
