Which Wire Does the 12 Gauge Blue Wire Splice Into From TK22113 in 2017 Dodge Durango
Question:
I have a 2017 Dodge Durango. I am installing the Tekonsha 7 way wiring for a vehicle with no tow package. I am trying to locate the wire above the cargo door under the headliner to connect the blue wire. The instructions say it is the white wire with a yellow stripe. The only wire that is similar on the passenger side is a white wire with an orange stripe. There are no other white wires in either loom going into the cargo door?

I contacted the tech at Tekonsha and he confirmed that on the 2017 Dodge Durango the white wire with the orange stripe should be the wire you splice the 18-gauge blue wire (not to be confused with the 12-gauge blue wire) into while installing part # TK22113. I recommend testing the orange and white wire for function to be sure before you splice into it.
You can test it with a circuit tester part # PTW2993 while someone turns the ignition on and puts the Dodge in reverse (with brake depressed). The only wire that shows power should be the white wire with orange stripe. If you are still having trouble figuring out which wire is the correct wire, please let me know.
