Best Way to Determine Axle Weight Rating

Axel weight . Unknown doesnt say on title its narrowed down to 2, 6 tons or 2, 7 tons its 8 bolts pattern and the bes is 22 long with 5 foot car ramps at the end

The way I recommend assessing your axle capacity is by measuring the diameter of the axle tube.

I recommend using digital caliper to do this and you can use the following to find out what the typical capacities of an axle are per their diameter:

- 1,000-lb - 2,000-lb Axles: 1-1/2 inch - 1-3/4 inch diameter
- 3,500-lb Axles: 2-3/8 inch diameter
- 6,000-lb - 7,200-lb Axles: 3 inch diameter
- 8,000-lb Axles: 3-1/2 inch diameter
- 9,000-lb Axles: 4 inch diameter
- 10,000-lb Or more axles: 5 inch diameter
