How To Install the Draw-Tite Activator Brake Controller on a 2011 GMC Yukon

Certainly, in order to install the Draw-Tite Activator Trailer Brake Controller part # 5504 on your 2011 GMC Yukon you will first need to obtain the Brake Control Plug-In Harness part # 20127. Once you have then you can then use part # DW05744-5 to make the following splices with the blunt cut wires under your driver side dash, by the brake pedal (see photo).

GMC Yukon Wire Color - Brake Control Wire Color - Function

Red/Black - Black - Battery Power
White - White - Ground
Light Blue/White - Red - Brake Light Signal
Dark Blue - Blue - Brake Output to Trailer
Orange - N/A - Center High Mount Stop Lamp (CHMSL)
