Where Can Dedicated Stoplight Circuit on 2010 Dodge Ram be Found
Question:
Hello, One question about this wiring. Do I need to connect all the wires to make it work ? My Ram wiring has been modified for European laws !! Fuc-ing Europe !! they use the rear back-up lights as indicators, with an orange plug....they added relays and modified the wiring under the battery !! At first I tried to connect the EURO-connector brake wire to the modified brake wire going to the rear taillight, but after some brakings the system stops to work , no more brake lights on the Ram and the trailer. So I bought the converter to use the US-Dodge-connector brake wire left turn/brake. Using this converter, I connected the white to the ground and the left turn/brake green wire of the converter to my Dodge RAM 2010 connector left turn/brake wire, but there is no power coming from the brake red wire of the converter ...the left turn yellow is OK, it works ...but no brake.... I tried 2 different converters without success... Do you know if it could be possible to connect a wire on the brake pedal switch, and if it will work ?? Thanks

If you wanted to get a dedicated brake signal on your truck you could find this circuit at the brake pedal like you mentioned or another place you can use is the third brake light circuit on the cab of the truck. Since you can't get our US style 2-3 converter # 118158 to work due to European style wiring this would be the best solutions we'd have.
