Can the Adco Tyvek Roof Cover for RVs Be Used in the Summer

Question:

Our travel trailer is under pine trees all summer. Is this item for winter storage only, or can it be used to protect our roof without interfering with AC and ventilation in the summer? Thank you in advance for your reply.

The Adco Tyvek Roof Cover for RVs part # 290-36042 can be used in the summertime. It will do an excellent job of keeping the tree sap and pine needles off the roof while parking. It will not interfere with the rooftop air conditioner or your vents but I don't recommend you run either with the cover draped over them as you would run the risk of not allowing enough airflow to the motor, therefore overheating and destroying the unit. However, if you like you can make a cutout over your air conditioner and vents to allow them to pull in fresh air with the cover still installed.

In order to remove any sap stuck to your roof you could try out the Valterra RV Bug & Tar Remover part # V88546.
