Expert Reply:
The maximum payload capacity for your 2005 Ford F-150 can be found on the tire label on the b-pillar or the edge of the driver’s door. Look for “THE COMBINED WEIGHT OF OCCUPANTS AND CARGO SHOULD NEVER EXCEED XXX kg OR XXX lb.” as this will be you maximum payload capacity. I do not have an exact capacity for you unfortunately as it will vary based on all of the options your truck is equipped with.
Please note that if you feel you will be towards the upper end of your payload capacity then you will want to consider suspension enhancements to help with this added weight and preserve the life of your existing suspension components. I recommend the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-108-47 for 2WD or the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit part # SSA28 or 4WD. These systems are both very easy to install and will provide additional support without sacrificing too much ride quality.
