Comparing Tow Ready and Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kits for Flat Towing
Question:
What is the difference between the TR118821 - RM154

The biggest difference between the Tow Ready Tail Light Isolating Diode System # TR118821 and the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154 is that Tow Ready created their wiring kit with quick disconnects so if you ever get a new vehicle you can take the kit with you. The Roadmaster option can also be removed but you would have to splice all of the wiring again as the quick disconnects don't match up the way the Tow Ready option does.
Both are great options and I'm sure you would be happy either way you went. I personally like the Roadmaster products better because I know how reliable their diodes are and a lot of people love their flat towing equipment.
Please note that a complete flat towing setup consists of a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know the year/make/model of the vehicle you are flat towing and I can make some recommendations for you. I have also linked a helpful article that goes over the basic components that you can reference.
