How to Carry Cargo on Factory Roof Rack of 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe XL

Question:

I want to know if I can fit a Thule to the factory roof rack bars of my new Hyundai. Hyundai remodeled the Santa Fe for this model year and Im not sure if I can just buy a Thule and expect it to fit right out of the box. Many of the comments on this site talk about purchasing adapters and such. I dont really want to have to do that. Any suggestions? Thanks!

There is a way for you to transport cargo on the factory roof rack of your 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe XL, but I checked with both Thule and Yakima and there are no cargo boxes that are going to fit the factory rack; the reason for this is the very large spread of the crossbars on the factory rack for the '19 Santa Fe XL.

The good news is you can utilize a cargo basket and cargo bag which will allow you the same 16 cubic feet of cargo space as using the Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box # TH615, and at a relatively similar price point as a cargo box.
