How to Determine if Townie Bikes Could Be Carried on Swagman XT-C Bike Rack on 2010 Toyota Prius
Question:
We have a Swagman xtc bike rack for our two Townie bikes- . I am getting a 1 1/4 inch hitch put on my Prius so we can drive from Knoxville, TN to Key West. Will that bike rake work safely mounted on the Prius @2010?

The biggest factor you will need to know in order for you to determine if you could transport your two Electra Townie bikes is the weight and wheelbases of the bikes. On Class I hitches you will not want to exceed tongue weight of 200 lbs.
The Swagman XTC-2 # S64670 that you referenced cannot carry bikes that weigh more than 35 lbs or have wheelbases longer than 66 inches. If your Townie bikes weigh less than that and has a smaller wheelbase this bike rack should work well for you.
If attached installation instructions and a review video for you to check out for this product.
You will want to check the owners manual of your vehicle to determine what the tongue weight capacity of your vehicle is. The lowest rated component of your towing setup will be your overall towing capacity. You should also check the owners manual for any restrictions on hitch mounted carriers.
