The correct Demco 5th Wheel Adapter for your 2017 GMC Sierra 3500HD with the 8 foot bed is the part # DM6206. This will drop right into the factory pucks on your truck bed to provide industry standard rails that are compatible with most 5th wheel hitches on the market.

The Demco Adapter # DM6194 that you referenced is only a fit for the 2017 Sierra that has the shorter 6-1/2 foot bed. The puck configurations on the two bed sizes are just a tad different requiring different adapter designs.
