Will the PullRite SuperGlide 2700 Work with Reese Base Rails

Question:

I Want To change my reese 16k for a pullrite super Glide 2700. Presently the rail on my trucks is 58058 reese product. Do that the new hitch will fit on those rails. Regards

Yes, the PullRite SuperGlide 2700 will fit the Reese Universal Base Rails part # RP58058 that you have on your 2017 Ram 2500. However, I would like to caution you about using the PullRite SuperGlide 2700 on your Ram because this particular 5th wheel hitch does not allow for any height adjustments. Therefore, you will most likely end up making extensive modifications to the trailer in order to level it with the vehicle. This has become an increasingly popular issue with these newer, taller pickup trucks.

The best option for you is the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # DM8550034 which allows for height adjustments of 15-1/4", 16-1/2", and 18". The Demco Hijacker also has a 3/4" thick, solid steel locking bar in addition to the 360 degree jaw that will act as a security device if anything were to ever happen to the jaws and they let go of the kingpin. The PullRite SuperGlide does not have the extra locking bar.
