How to Wire High Mount Brake Light for Bed Topper on a 1994 Chevy K1500 Pickup
Question:
Im needing to wire the high mount brake light for a truck bed topper on a 1994 Chevrolet K1500. My question is, on this model and year of Chevy truck is there a wire in the rear of the truck specifically for this that is not tied into the turn signal or running lights? If so, any help identifying this wire would be greatly appreciated!

According to my research there is a yellow wire that terminates and is connected to the stop lamp switch just like the center high-mount stop lamp (CHMSL). Aside from that though I am not quite sure where it terminates or where you can find it routed. Sorry I don't have more than that for you to go off of.
If you aren't able to find it I do have an alternative solution for you though. You can install the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702 which separates out your turn signals from your stop signal and allows you to send power to the high mount brake light only when you are braking. You just need extra wiring # 16-1-1 and butt connectors # PP20-702 to complete the installation.
