Troubleshooting Curt Gooseneck Hitch Ball Stuck in Hitch
Question:
Mine is stuck in my 2012 Ford F-350. I can turn the ball and move the release pin at the top, but I can’t get the ball bearings to release and pull the ball out. Any ideas?

To remove your Curt gooseneck ball I recommend first using a penetrating oil WD40 to spray into that hitch ball lever and also around the edge of the hole on the top and bottom. Use a little vibration from a rubber mallet to let the oil find its way into all the bound locations. Let sit for a few minutes and then try again. If that still doesn't release the ball I'd try again but let the lube sit over night.
