Would Fifth Wheel Rail Kit from 2008 Chevy Silverado fit 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500

Question:

I have a Reese 5th wheel hitch, part #30032 on my 2008 Chevy silverado 1500 extended cab. Will this, including the mounting brackets, fix onto my 2015 Chevy silverado 1500 extended cab, 6.5 foot box

Your Reese hitch and rails can easily be installed in your 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 short bed. The Reese rail kit # RP50064-58 is a custom rail kit that fits both year trucks you mentioned so it most likely would work well for you assuming that is what you have. You will need to replace the hardware that attaches the rails to the brackets though as that's considered one time use. For that you'd need part # 58164.
