Front Mount Hitch for Use with Warn Winch and Trailer on a 1999 Dodge Ram

Question:

I have a 1999 dodge 4x4 short bed pickup. will this hitch fit? I want to use a warn winch on it. but only when needed. the rest of the time I would use it to back up 16 ft. trailors with it .

Yes, the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 31604 will fit your 1999 Dodge Ram Pickup 4x4 Short Bed. In order to hold your Warn Winch I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Electric Winch Mount Plate part # C31010 which also comes with mounting points for a roller fairlead. If you already have a hitch mounted winch plate then you can use that as well.

Please note that this hitch has a 9,000 lb line pull rating which will be relevant for your winch and a 500 lb vertical load rating which will be relevant for you trailer. I have attached a photo of what the trailer hitch will look like while installed for you as well.
