Are Replacement Keys and Struts Available for Thule JetBag Cargo Box from 1990s

Question:

I have an older cartop carrier I bought new in the 1990s. It has Thule Sweden graphics on the housing, but there is an inner label which says it was made by Jetbag GmbH in Germany. Im attaching photos. I would like to replace the gas struts and order two additional keys. Interestingly, the lock cylinder face does not have an N number. It says 3029A. Hmm, your site wont let me add more than one photo, so Ill go with this one. If you get back to me, Id like to buy the struts, too. They measure 10 1/4 inch open and 6 7/8 inch closed. Thanks!

I reached out to my contact at Thule who said that they typically only keep replacement parts for discontinued products for about 5 years after the fact. Since your JetBag cargo box is at least 20 years old they unfortunately don't have any replacement struts or replacement keys for that 3029A lock core you mentioned.

Because of this I recommend replacing your cargo box to something a little more current like the Thule Pulse Alpine # TH613. The Pulse Alpine has 11 cu ft of internal storage space (84-1/2" long x 23-1/2" wide x 10-1/2" tall), weighs 30 lbs, and has a weight capacity of 110 lbs. It is also made in the USA and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. I have attached a review video that you can reference as well as a photo showing how to ensure you have proper clearance if your vehicle has a rear hatch.
