Correct Anti-Sway Bars for a 2017 Thor M-25.4
Question:
I have a 2017 Thor Axis 25.4. A spring trip across the Southwest was harrowing with wind gusts making it feel like I was in a wrestling match with the steering wheel. My questions: 1 Would a sway bar significantly help with steering/handling? 2 If yes, does this mean bars for both the front and rear? 3 which bar s would be right for my RV? 4 If we decide to tow a car would these stabilizers be compatible?

Yes, an upgraded anti-sway bar would absolutely help to improve the overall handling of your 2017 Thor M-25.4. This is actually one of the most popular upgrades for motorhomes because of the same feeling that you described. It would be best if you replaced both the front and rear anti-sway bars but if you were to only do one, I recommend replacing the rear anti-sway bar.
For the rear, I recommend Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar for Motor Homes part # RM-1139-147. If you have the extra funds to do the front anti-sway bar as well then I recommend the Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar for Motorhomes part # RM-1139-176. There would be no issues at all with these anti-sway bars if you decided to flat-tow a vehicle in the future.
I have attached sample install videos for you on both of these anti-sway bars as well.
