Generator Capable of Powering Two AC Units on RV Coach

Question:

Good afternoon I have a guest that wants to add 2 rooftop ac units on their coach bus. I was thinking of putting 2 invertors for powering the units I need a estimate for the whole system. Thanks

RV AC units like the Atwood part # AT15026-21 that you referenced do require AC power so for a bus that has DC power you would need an inverter like you mentioned. That said, you should note that these AC units are designed typically to be powered by a generator or a power supply found at a campground. There wouldn't be a way to power them with any type of adapter from the power generated by the alternator of the bus if that was what you were considering.

To wire up the bus for the power needed to supply both AC units you'd want to hire an electrician for that. For a generator with enough power for both of the Atwood AC units you mentioned you'd need the Firman 10,000 watt generator # 333-P08003 as it is rated for 10,000 watts starting power and each AC unit draws almost 5,000 watts.
