Recommended Theft Deterring Kayak Saddles and Straps for the Malone Microsport XT trailer
Question:
We are leaning toward the Malone Microsport XT trailer specifically because of the retractable tongue so we can store it in our garage during the off-season. Im looking at the different kayak saddles to mount on this trailer and would like some that lock onto the trailer for security reasons. Would the Rhino-Rack Nautic roof kayak carriers with the locking screws mount onto this trailer? What would you recommend - we have 2 kayaks 1 Old Town 12foot Dirigo and 1 Liquid Logic Coupe 10foot SOT Thanks for any help/recomendations you can provide.

The Malone MicroSportXT Trailer - Aluminum Wheels - Retractable Tongue - 13' Long - 375 lbs # MPG460XT is a great option for the storage reasons you stated. The Rhino-Rack Nautic Roof Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - Side Loading - Clamp On # RR570 will work well on those crossbars and do have the theft deterring security tool and hardware you stated than many alternative options do not offer. I think these will be a great fit for you.
If you want additional security with the kayaks loaded you can use the Rhino-Rack Cam Buckle Cinch Straps - Locking - 11-1/2' Long x 1" Wide - 496 lbs - Qty 2 # RRRTD35L.
