Which Side of the Flat Tow Setup Does Female Air Connector Install On for BrakeMaster
Question:
When setting up the air, I assume you use the female connector on the RV side and male connector on the TOAD side, Is this correct? Otherwise, a brake application with no TOAD hooked on would cause an air leak. I just bought a Jeep that has female connector on it and I think it was ass backwards or can you use female on both sides. Is there an advantage to doing it that way?

Expert Reply:
The male side like the part # RM-921004-50 is designed for the vehicle side like you mentioned. The RV side is the part # RM-921004-60. I'd recommend switching your setup to the recommended way as it wasn't tested to be used backwards and like you said there would be air leaks most likely.
