Yes, the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System part # EQ37121ET does allow for backing up in a straight line. It is also electric and surge brake compatible. If the tongue weight of your trailer while fully loaded is between 800 and 1,200 lbs then this system will work well for you. It does not include the adjustable shank so you need part # EQ90-02-4400.
