The wiring system of the 2016 Ford F-150 has a combined tail light wiring system. The turn signals and brake lights are on the same circuit. Since the light bar is wired to the combined lighting system the turn signals illuminate when you press the brake and vice versa.
I recommend separating the combined wiring system using Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module part # PP20-702. The two yellow wires wire to the right turn and left turn signals from the tail lights and the green wire connects to 12v power wire coming from the light bar. I have attached a wiring diagram for your reference.
