For your 2001 Ford F-150 you will need to use either the Reese Universal Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, part # RP30035, or the Reese Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, part # RP50042-58. I am including a link to the installation instructions on both of the Reese installation kits.
I would recommend the custom install kit # RP-50042-58. This custom kit will install in half the amount of time of the universal kit and will mount in existing holes on your vehicles frame. Both kits will come with brackets, rails, and hardware, and are compatible with Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Reese, Valley and Husky fifth wheel hitches.
If you have a 6-1/2 foot bed on your truck you will also want to make sure that you will be using a slider fifth wheel hitch. The slider hitch is needed to give you the extra clearance between the truck cab and the front of the fifth wheel trailer when making sharp 90 degree turns. I am including a link to a FAQ page on towing a fifth wheel trailer.
I've linked to some install videos showing both kits being used. The installs are on different model years than your 2001, so be sure to read the printed instructions regarding rail placement as the placement shown in the videos might be different.
