The Access TrailSeal Full Bed Protection # 834532001453 for your 2018 Silverado 1500 will require some prep for the correct seal. Due to the texture of the spray-in liner, you will need to clean up that area for the seal to properly adhere. Sanding down that texture for a clean connection is necessary for the rear tailgate seal especially. I recommend just marking the location so you can sand only what is needed to allow the appearance and function of the bed liner.
When properly installed this will keep the water out to give you the water protection you seek. The prep work will be key for your installation. Make sure you clean the surface well after sanding for best adhesion.
