How To Carry Ladders On a 1998 GMC Jimmy

Trying to find a ladder rack that this will work with for my 98 GMC Jimmy/chevy blazer The part that is below is what im Interested in Ladder Mounting Kit for Rhino-Rack Aero/Sportz Crossbars - 2-Bar System Item # SEGLK2B

The Ladder Mounting Kit part # SEGLK2B is designed to be used with Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars like part # RRVA126B-2. Rhino Rack does not offer a good system that will allow you to use these on your 1998 GMC Jimmy but the channels on the above crossbars are pretty much the same as the other options from Thule, Yakima, Rola etc. Therefore, in order to use the Ladder Mounting Kit on a GMC Jimmy, I recommend using the Rola Rail Extreme RBU Series Roof Rack part # RBU47 so long as you have factory installed side rails that run front to back.

Unfortunately, they do not offer a true ladder rack for a GMC Jimmy so the above will be one of your only options. The Rola Rail Extreme RBU Series Roof Rack has a 165 lb weight capacity which should be plenty but you will need to make sure the vehicles roof is rated for this until loading to max capacity.
