Attaching Older Model Yakima PowderHound Ski Rack To OEM Crossbars on 2011 Kia Sorento

i have a 2011 kia sorento with factrory cross bars. i have an old 10+ years powder hound yakima ski rack. i need mounting brackets that fit on the sorento cross bars. i was told to use yakima universal mighty mount. will part y8860040 also work? it is significantly cheaper.

I contacted our representative at Yakima about mounting your older model PowderHound Ski Rack to the factory crossbars of your 2011 Kia Sorento. He informed me that you will need to use the Yakima Universal MightyMounts, part # Y03590.

The item you referenced, Replacement Mounting Hardware # Y8860040, will only work with the newer model PowderHound.
