Why Cant Convert-A-Ball Multi-Cushioned Gooseneck Coupler CG Be Used with Ford Gooseneck Ball
Question:
You say not to use this coupler with a in ball that twists to lock in place. Mine is a ball you in and twist into place and a spring wire locks it, then to take it out you push in on the wire and twist. I have pulled several different styles of goosenecks and never had any issues. So just wondering why this coupler will not work with them? Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
Ford and Ram factory gooseneck balls that have a plastic tab on the top, like part # RP19311, are not recommended for use with the Convert-A-Ball Multi-Cushioned Gooseneck Trailer Coupler # CG because the steel surface inside the coupler can chew up that plastic and damage the ball.
