Can the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver be Used for Recovery of a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
When stuck in a sand dune, does hitch C31033 have the capacity to support recovery? i.e., Can I be pulled out using a strap attached to this hitch? This is for a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit with V8.

The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31033 has a line pull strength of 9,000 lbs. Since your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit has a curb weight between 4,725 lbs and 4,955 lbs this hitch can be used for recovery.
Typically a winch like part # BDW10042 is used for recovery purposes. If you don't have a winch then you can use a hitch ball with a tow hook like the Curt # C45675 and some recovery straps like part # BDW20030.
