I researched the EAZ lift 12,000 lb weight distribution system and the tongue weight rating range is between 1,001 to 1,200 lbs. The tongue weight of your trailer rated for 4600 lb will not be 1001 lbs even when loaded. This could cause a stiff or rough ride with the lighter trailer if you use the EAZ lift weight distribution because the tension in the spring bars is designed for a heavier trailer.

I recommend getting a lower rated weight distribution for the 4600 lb trailer such as The Fastway e2 system part # FA92-00-0600. This particular weight distribution system is rated for lighter trailers with a tongue weight between 250 lbs and 600 lbs. This weight distribution system will work well for your trailer if it's loaded to full capacity or empty. It includes 2-point sway control but does not include a shank. You should be able to use the same shank from the EAZ lift system as long as the holes measure a 3/4 inch in diameter and are 1-1/4 inches apart. If your EAZ lift shank does not measure to these specs, you need Fastway E2 weight distribution shank part # FA92-02-4100.

You may be able to contact EAZ lift and replace the spring bars on your system for a lower rated bar. The only issue with that is the weight distribution head may be designed for the diameter round bar that you have on the setup. The diameter of spring bars of certain manufacturers may be smaller for the lower rated bars.
