Availability of Different Lock Cores for Yakima SpaceBooster 11 Cargo Box

Question:

I have a Yakima SpaceBooster 11. I want to replace the lock core housings and the lock cores. Do all of your lock cores have Same Key Systems? If not, how do I get a set of ideally 3 lock cores with one-of-a-kind keys? So that nobody else has keys matching mine? Thanks,.

We do not have any non-Yakima branded SKS lock cores available that are designed to fit your SpaceBooster 11 Cargo Box. With that in mind please note that the "Same Key System" refers to the ability of all the lock cores on your cargo box (along with any other Yakima accessories you may have) to be unlocked with the same key. This does not mean that another Yakima key that a neighbor may have will also open the box.

There are still a great number of different Yakima lock cores and keys (we have over 70 different numbers in stock and that is not near the amount that are available). It's just that the Same Key System allows you to change out the cores on your accessories with matching units so that you don't have to mess with multiple keys to unlock everything.

If you still are wanting to change out the lock cores on your cargo box you can use the Yakima SKS Lock Cores # Y07204, which come with 4 lock cores and 2 keys. There is not a kit available with just 3 lock cores included.
