What Wiring Kit and Diodes are Needed When Flat Towing a 2010 Chevrolet HHR
Question:
What wiring kit and diodes do I use on my 2010 HHR? What is the cost? Where do I order them?

Your 2010 Chevrolet HHR has a 2-Way (combined) wiring system which means the brake and turn signals are sent along the same wire.
If you will be towing your HHR with a tow vehicle that also has a 2-Way (combined) wiring system, I would recommend the Roadmaster Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, part # RM-154. This kit will come with wiring and the diodes that are needed to protect the tow vehicle and your HHR by preventing feedback. I am including a few links to FAQ pages on wiring the diodes to your vehicle and a video link to the RM-154 kit being installed on a 2011 Chevrolet HHR.
If your tow vehicle has a 3-Way (separate) wiring system, you will also need to add the Roadmaster Brite-Lite Wiring Converter, part # RM-732, along with the # RM-154 wiring kit mentioned above to get the the lights to work properly on your HHR. A wiring diagram is shown on the product page of the # RM-732 wiring converter.
To order these products you can order them online at our website or you can call 800-298-8924 and order from a customer service representative.
