On the Superwinch LT2000 ATV Winch, part # 1120210, for your 2008 Honda TRX 500 Foreman Rubicon, the rocker switch is normally installed on the handlebar of the ATV. The black and green wires from the rocker switch will connect to the black and green wires on the solenoid.
Using a circuit tester, like part # PTW2993, to test the wires on your ignition switch, you will need to find the wire that is powered only when the ignition switch is in the "On" position. The remaining red wire on the rocker switch will need to be routed to that wire.
It is recommended to mount the solenoid close to the battery under the seat, or in storage box compartment.
The short red wire from the solenoid will connect to the included circuit breaker and then to the positive battery terminal. The short black wire from the solenoid will connect to the negative battery terminal.
The long red wire from the solenoid will connect to the red terminal on the winch and the long black wire on the solenoid will connect to the white terminal on the winch.
I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Super winch LT2000 that will show you a wiring diagram for the winch.
