Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring of 2012 Ram 1500 Not Working Although Fuse is Good
Question:
I have a 2012 ram 1500 and can not get power to the truck side of my trailer lights. I need to know where the fuses are. So far the only one I have found is a 20 amp fuse that is still good. And tips is greatly appreciated.

Your 2012 Ram 1500 uses the TIPM for circuit protection for the trailer wiring unfortunately. This means that the only way you can regain the circuits that aren't functioning is to take the truck to a Ram dealer to have the TIPM reset.
The really frustrating part is they will only do this so many times before you have to spend a ton of money to replace it.
The best way around the TIPM is to bypass it all together with the trailer wiring. For that you can use the wiring harness part # 119178KIT for a 4-way, and then for converting the 4-way to a 7-way you would want to use part # 37185 for if you don't have a brake controller and part # ETBC7 for if you do.
I attached installation instructions and videos for you to check out as well.
