Exhaust Tip to Deepen Exhaust Note on 2014 Dodge Charger RT
Question:
I have a 2014 Charger RT with a CAI and Flowmaster American thunder 409s catback exhaust system. I am looking for exhaust tips that will deepen the sound of the exhaust note. Ive read that larger diameter tips increase sound and deepen the note and that having longer tips can help to reduce high frequency notes. Is there anything else to look for in exhaust tips that will help to deepen the note of my exhaust?

An exhaust tip will make mostly a cosmetic change to a vehicle. Tips will not change the nature of a car's exhaust note nearly as much as installation of a cold air intake and a cat-back exhaust. Those components literally change the nature of the car's respiration system.
If you don't mind what is perhaps a weird analogy to help explain this, if the CAI and exhaust are the "lungs" of the vehicle, then the exhaust tip is the "nostril". Its more visible but has less effect on performance.
That said, you're right that a larger and longer exhaust tip can give some deepening of the exhaust note. Not a whole lot but some. You can click on the linked page to see all the tips we offer. Just click on the inlet diameter you need to match your exhaust. To get some reduction in the high-frequencies for deepening the tone select a pair of turndown tips, ones as long as will look good. Note some of these are weld-on while others are clamp on.
