Can Hitch Head of Pullrite Hitch Move Back for Additional Turning Clearance

Question:

I have a short box 6 1/2 foot. I have a pullrite slider hitch. I pull an older camper that comes really close to the cab. The pullrite hitch has other mounting holes to move the hitch back or forward. Am i alright to move the hitch 1 or 2 inches behind the axle to gain a bit more clearence?

Expert Reply:

Yes, you can move the hitch head of your Pullrite hitch back an inch or two to give you additional turning clearance. While the head moves back slightly the hitch still sits above the same spot above the rear axle of the truck so this will not negatively affect anything.
