Replacement Jack Recommendation for Damaged Bulldog Powered A-Frame Jack
Question:
My Jack had snow fall on it and it activated the retract switch constantly. I dont know how long it ran but it broke the shaft at the roll pin location where it attaches to the gears. Is there a replacement shaft for this model?

That is a really frustrating way to damage a jack. I wish we had the components you'd need to fix your Bulldog part # BD500200 that you referenced but Bulldog basically only offers replacement switches for this jack. You are going to need a new jack.
I think the best value for an A-frame tongue jack is the Stromberg Carlson # SC63VR which is rated for 4500 pounds of tongue weight. This is 1000 pounds more than other models, and even though you may not need this much capacity, you will find that the jack motor runs quick and effortlessly. This will add years to its life. This jack also has a unique clutch that prevents damage from overextending or retracting the jack foot - the most common reason for jack failure. I also like that is has a generous 23" lift, and a drop-foot that gives you an extra 5 inches when you need it. It includes LED lights for operating the hitch in the dark, and a built-in bullseye leveling bubble.
