Can I Just Order 5th Wheel Installation Kit for 1998 Chevrolet Silverado Short Bed

I have the hitch and the rails. Can I buy just the underneath brackets for a 1998 Chev Silverado short box 4x4??

Since you already have the Pro Series 5th Wheel Hitch, part # PS30128, you can just purchase the installation kit. For you 1998 Chevrolet Silverado short bed 4x4 truck, you will need to determine if you have a 10 bolt or 4 bolt rail system.

For a 10 bolt system, you will need the Reese Universal 5th Wheel Installation Kit # RP30439. If you have a 4 bolt system, you will need the Reese 5th Wheel Installation Kit, part # RP30125.

Please note, that with the short bed model, it is recommended to use a sliding fifth wheel hitch. If you are not using a sliding fifth-wheel hitch, you will need to use a Sidewinder king pin to provide clearance needed to make sharp turns.
