Leaf Spring Recommendation for 6,000 lb Trailer Axles

Question:

What is the heavyest spring can you recommend for a trailer with 6000 lb axles. Existing 4 leaf spring. 1-3/4” width. 25-1/4 eye eye. 2014 lippert frame 5th wheel. I believe 14000 gross. 11200 dry. Thanks.

The heaviest leaf spring available that will fit your current measurement is going to be rated for 6,000 lbs, the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles # e47SR.

This spring is 25-1/8" long from eye to eye; you need to take into account that your current springs have elongated some so you'll want to go with something shorter. A leaf spring should not be rated for more weight than the trailer's capacity because it will give you a much stiffer ride.
