Hi I was reading one of your post for the skybox 18 being okay driving around empty. Same goes for the skybox 16?

Yes, you can drive around with the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Roof Cargo Box part # Y95AV on your 2007 Acura MDX while empty. However, there may be a bit more vibrations than while loaded but this is nothing to be concerned about. I called my contact at Yakima just to confirm this for you. The Yakima SkyBox has a very low profile, aerodynamic shape so there shouldn't be much wind resistance.
