Powered Single Step Recommendation for 2002 Damon Escaper
Question:
I am wanting to change the electric step on my motor home. i think it has been replaced with the wrong one in the past by another owner. it has a long from motor home to the electric step which is just one step.. plus it is almost on the ground when extended.. I think the is to much. Not sure how to measure for the right one. Thanks for any help.

You'll want to measure the distance between the mounting brackets on your RV that are holding your current steps so that you can pick out the steps that will fit as a replacement the easiest. Since you said your current step is close to the ground you'd most likely want to go with the Lippert Kwikee 35 part # LC3691461 as it has the smallest amount of drop from where it attaches to the RV of 5 inches. Other powered steps have a drop of 7 inches instead.
The mounting bracket width of this is 25-1/2 inches.
