What Wheels Should Snow Chains Go on a 2007 Jeep Wrangler, Front, Rear or Both?
Question:
should we get chains for all four tires or just the front two
asked by: Kathy
Expert Reply:
Snow chains should at least be put on the main drive wheels of the vehicle. In your case your 2007 Jeep Wrangler is rear wheel drive so the chains should be on the rear wheels. For added traction and stability you could also put them on the front wheels as well. While this is not required you would benefit from doing so.
I attached a couple FAQ articles on snow chains for you to check out also.
You will want to check the owners manual of your vehicle to determine if there are any restrictions on using snow chains on your vehicle.
