Lighter Weight Platform Bike Rack Recommendation that's Easier to Install/Remove
Question:
One of the reviews I read, mentioned that this needs to stay on the car, once you install it? Is that true? You dont ever take it off? Also, I am not very strong. Can I lift this and install it, myself? thanks,

The Thule T2 part # TH9045 that you referenced can easily be removed and reinstalled at anytime. It is definitely not intended to be left installed at all times. Platform bike racks like this are a bit heavy though. This one weighs 50 lbs which is a little on the lighter side compared to similar racks. I do have a great light weight rack that is similar.
The Saris Freedom Superclamp part # SA4025F only weighs 35 lbs and is just as stable and easy to load/unload as the T2. Check out the review video I attached for more info on this rack as well.
